Something for the long hair...

This kind of looks like a bow tie on it's side. You really need longer hair to do this - but you may be able to simplify it somehow & use it for short, also.
Before I dried her hair, I put Garnier Fructise's Mousse in it to help make it not so soft after it was dried. Then I teased her hair just a bit with a comb right in the front to give it a little more volume & then pinned back:

Bring the rest into a low pony & don't pull the hair all the way thru (but don't pull too much - I just left as small a loop as I could). Secure that with another elastic so you don't have hair falling out of it.

The pony tail that is sticking out, begin pinning in loops about the same size & loop below.

Make it look as even as possible & use your fingers to spread the hair & hide any openings. That hair that is left over - you are going to wrap around the elastic to hide it. I spray it as I go, then secure it with a pin & it should stick good for you all day.

Spray to hold & you are finished. This looks really cute for church or with a dress - it fancies it up just a bit.

a fun summer do

Because you do have to braid each pony tail, this does take a little longer. So if you want it to be quicker, I would just do one row of the twisted braids. But it's super cute & I have to admit - I've NEVER had my girlie sleep in a hair do & wake up the next morning to wear the same thing - but she woke up this morning with the braids still in tip top shape so we just redid the pony tail parts (& curled them instead of braided them & pulled them up) & it looks just as cute as yesterday - so since this took a little longer - I was excited she could wear it 2 days in a row!!
Start by doing 4 piggies right in the front (sorry -can't see the 4th piggie)

Braid each one. The middle 2 though - you are going to divide in half & braid 2 out of one piggie. The far 2 side though, just get one braid out of it.

Do another row of piggies directly behind the first. If I was going to do this again, I would put all my piggies up first then go back & braid.

This is the easiest thing ever. I've done it before with the pony's straight but the braid just adds that much more to it. So grab 2 braids that are right next to each & go right over left (just like you are tying a lace) & pull.

This is what it looks like. So now I want to add them to the piggies that are already there. The best way to do this is by pinning one side so you can work one side at a time without the other wriggling around everywhere. Do ALL of your braids just like that. 2 of your piggies will have 2 braids to it since you split the middle down. You will see once you get going.

If you feel like that took you too much time - stop there & keep the hair down or whatever you feel would look cute. But if your feeling ambitious - do another row. It's totally worth it - it just looks too cute not to. You do the exact same thing you did with the first row.

You could probably even go one more row but I stopped there. Braid each piggie now.

Pull them up so that loop & secure with an elastic. Then I curled over the hair so that it was curling over the piggies. I had some ribbon but I thought it started to look like way too much going on. So we kept it without bows or ribbons in her hair today.

Super cute, right? LOVED it.

Fish Tail Flip

Start by sectioning the front of the hair where you will start the fish tail braid. 
You are going to fish tail braid the hair & pull the pieces from the sides (like you would a french braid) instead of just the sectioned part. It's super easy. Just pull a piece from the side & cross it over, continuing until you've gone down as far as you want. 
This is what it should look like. Section it off with an elastic. 
Pull the rest into a pony, including the fish tail. FISH TAIL BRAID the pony tail. 
Flip it up & secure with an elastic, having the ends stick out of it. 
I added some ribbon & then sprayed the ends with there stick out & rolled the hair over my fingers to give it a flipped look with the ends (instead of having to pull out my curling iron). That's all there is to it. 

A Fancy UpDo

My little girlie went to a Fancy Nancy party last week & got to dress up in fancy clothes so I decided she had to have fancy hair with it. 

Start by sectioning out the hair & twisting it straight back. Add a bobby pin going forward to secure it. 
Go all the way around the head, sectioning, twisting & adding your pins. Then pull it all into a pony tail. 
Start to pin the hair by doing the flower bun.  But leave a portion out so that it hangs down underneath.

For her ribbon, I tied a bow & then put the bobby pin through the middle of it & insert it in the hair where you want it to go. 
Add the ribbon & spray to hold. We added glitter in her hair for some extra "fanciness".

Low Pony

I parted the hair down the middle. This doesn't have to be perfect - just kind of loose looking. I twisted one half of the pony tail.
Twist the other half, also. 
Bring them together in a pony tail with an elastic. 
Grab a piece from the pony & wrap it around the elastic so you can't see the elastic. 
I use a clear elastic at the very bottom of the wrap to hold it in. It works great & you can pull the hair down over the clear elastic to cover it up. 
You can curl the pony or just leave it as is. 

curly pony

This was really easy. It's just 4 ponytails closer together to make it look like one big one.
You need to divide the hair in four sections. I parted each of mine like a triangle so they all came together in the middle.

Make your way around the head adding your elastics.
Do all four piggies like that.
Then I just curled her hair. I added a bow just on the top one but you could add it on the 2 sides instead, if you like it better.

I had her sleep in her twists & not get them wet when she bathed. We took them out & this is what it looke like:
I pulled it into a pony, curled the ends & this is how it turned out:

This did take a little bit longer because of the twist braids but I think it turned out cute. If you have 30 minutes to spare - do it!!
So start by parting the hair everywhere. I started at the top, just dividing it in half, but on the side part.
Make your way down, doing the next row.

Go all the way until all the hair is sectioned into little ponies.
Start twisting. I did 2 for every pony which is time consuming. Do one per pony if that's faster for you.
Do the twists all the way around. & you're done!!
